The best gifts for hunters do not need to guess at another piece of kit. A personalised trophy poster starts with an animal, a place and a hunt they already remember.
A new accessory can be useful, but it can also be the wrong model, size or colour. A trophy poster is more specific. It is built around a hunt they chose to remember, whether that is a first deer, a rare fur, a Great One or a photograph from a real trip.
The recipient's image remains part of the process. The proof shows the crop, wording, map treatment and finish before production, so the finished gift does not depend on guessing what they would want printed.
A simple gift process
01
Choose the hunt
Use a harvest screen or trophy photograph they will recognise.
02

03
Order with confidence
The artwork is reviewed before production and delivery.
How to get the image for the gift
Choose their game and device below. Each route explains how to capture or find the file, then how to send it to the person ordering the gift. The original image is always best: do not photograph a TV or monitor.
The full harvest screen to look for
theHunter: Call of the Wild / PC / Steam
Find a Call of the Wild harvest screenshot on PC
Ask your loved one to open Steam on the computer they use for Call of the Wild. If they have not saved the hunt yet, open the harvest screen after a hunt and press F12 to capture the whole screen.
In the Steam desktop app, choose View, then Recordings & Screenshots. Find Call of the Wild and locate the harvest with the animal, trophy rating, fur type and reserve visible.
Use Show on Disk to open the original image file. Send that file by email, cloud link or AirDrop to the person buying the gift, then upload it in the poster builder.
A full harvest screen gives the builder the best chance of reading the animal, reserve and trophy details correctly.
Keep the full details panel visible
theHunter: Call of the Wild / Xbox
Find a Call of the Wild harvest screenshot on Xbox
Ask your loved one to open the harvest screen with the animal and details visible. Press the controller Share button, or open the Xbox guide and use Capture & share to take a screenshot.
Open Capture & share or Recent captures on the console, then find the trophy by date. The full capture should show the animal as well as the trophy information.
Open the Xbox mobile app, download the capture to the phone and send the saved image to the buyer. They can then upload that image in the poster builder.
Do not take a photo of the television. The saved Xbox capture is cleaner and keeps the text readable.
Keep the animal and details together
theHunter: Call of the Wild / PlayStation 5
Find a Call of the Wild harvest screenshot on PS5
Ask your loved one to open the harvest screen. Press the Create button on the DualSense controller and choose Take Screenshot.
From the games home screen, open Media Gallery and find the screenshot by date. It should show the full trophy screen, not only a close crop of the animal.
Save the capture to a phone through the PlayStation App, or copy it to USB, then send the original image file to the buyer for upload.
PS5 captures can also appear in the PlayStation App when game-capture uploads are enabled.
Keep the animal and details together
theHunter: Call of the Wild / PlayStation 4
Find a Call of the Wild harvest screenshot on PS4
Ask your loved one to open the harvest screen and press the SHARE button, then choose Save Screenshot.
Open Capture Gallery from the PS4 content area and find the screenshot by date. Check that it includes the animal and the harvest information.
Highlight the file, press OPTIONS and choose Copy to USB Storage Device. From the USB drive, send the original image to the buyer for upload.
A USB transfer avoids the quality loss that can happen when a screenshot is re-photographed or heavily compressed.
A claim screen with the details panel open
Way of the Hunter or Way of the Hunter 2 / PC / Steam
Find a Way of the Hunter claim screen on PC
Ask your loved one to open the claim or harvest screen after the hunt. The animal, sex, age, weight, weapon, location and trophy result should be visible.
Press F12 in Steam to capture the full screen. In Steam, choose View, then Recordings & Screenshots, find the game and use Show on Disk to locate the original file.
For Way of the Hunter 2, ask for one separate clear animal photograph as well. Send both files to the buyer: the claim screen provides the record details and the photograph gives the poster its top image.
The claim screen is for the facts. A separate animal photograph usually gives a better-looking print.

Way of the Hunter or Way of the Hunter 2 / Xbox
Find a Way of the Hunter claim screen on Xbox
Open the claim or harvest screen and use the controller Share button, or the Xbox guide's Capture & share menu, to save a full screenshot.
Open Capture & share or Recent captures and find the trophy by date. Check that the details panel is open before sending it.
Download the image from the Xbox mobile app and send it to the buyer. For Way of the Hunter 2, also send a clear animal photograph if one is available.
The buyer should upload the claim screen as the information source, then add the separate animal image where the builder asks for it.

Find a Way of the Hunter claim screen on PS5
Open the claim or harvest screen and use the Create button to take a screenshot with the details panel visible.
Open Media Gallery from the games home screen and find the capture by date. Save it through the PlayStation App or copy it to USB.
Send the full claim-screen image to the buyer. For Way of the Hunter 2, add a clear animal photograph too so the poster has both the record details and a strong top image.
Keep the original capture at its saved size. A shared preview or phone photo of the screen is much harder to read.
One clear original image is enough to start
A real-world trophy / Phone or camera
Get the right photograph for a real-world trophy
Ask the hunter to find the original photo in their phone gallery, cloud photos or camera card. A full animal, trophy or field-scene image works well.
Ask them to send the original file at full size, using a cloud link, AirDrop, email attachment or a file-transfer service. Avoid a screenshot of the image or a compressed social-media preview.
Collect the species, sex, country or nearest named area, date and scoring system. If they have a score sheet, ask for a photograph of that too.
The customer can still check the crop and every written detail in the proof before the print is approved.
Common questions
What image do I need for a hunter gift?
You need one harvest screen for a supported hunting game or one photograph for a real-world trophy. The recipient's image can be checked in the proof before production.
Can I buy a poster for a hunter if I do not know all the details?
Yes. Start with the image and use the editable details in the builder. For a real-world trophy, the recipient may still need to confirm measurements or scoring information.
